Dr. Ahmad Musamih is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE. His research focuses on blockchain technology, smart contracts, NFTs, digital twins, metaverse applications, artificial intelligence, large language models, healthcare systems, sustainable supply chains, and ESG-oriented digital transformation.
Dr. Musamih holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Systems and Management from Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE, earned in 2022; an MSc in Engineering Systems and Management from Masdar Institute/Khalifa University, earned in 2018; and a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from United Arab Emirates University, earned in 2015.
Dr. Musamih has authored 38 publications, with more than 1,300 citations and an h-index of 15 according to Google Scholar. His publications span leading journals and conferences in blockchain, healthcare, sustainability, supply chains, artificial intelligence, NFTs, metaverse technologies, and digital transformation. Many of his works have appeared in highly ranked journals, including top 1%, top 3%, top 5%, and Q1 venues according to Scopus-based rankings.
His research achievements include receiving the 2023 Best Paper Award, First Place, from the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society for the paper titled “Metaverse in Healthcare: Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions”, and the Best Paper Award at IEEE TEMSCON Global 2025 for the paper titled “Using LLMs to Accelerate the Development of Blockchain-Based Solutions: A Case Study on Controlled Medication Management.”
Dr. Musamih also received the Outstanding Young Researcher Award and the Student with Top Publication Award from the College of Engineering, Khalifa University, on December 8, 2022, in recognition of his strong publication record in high-impact journals. He serves the academic community as an editorial board member, technical program committee member, and peer reviewer for leading journals and conferences, with more than 100 peer reviews completed across multiple journals and grants.
