Biography

Dr. G.K. Veerasubramani is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Chemical & Petroleum Engineering, Khalifa University, United Arab Emirates, developing novel electrodes for sodium-ion batteries to enhance energy storage efficiency. Dr. Veerasubramani completed his PhD in the field of electrochemical energy storage systems at Jeju National University, South Korea. His dissertation focused on the synthesis and electrochemical properties of nanostructured materials for high-energy hybrid supercapacitors, pioneering advanced energy solutions. He brings a wealth of post-PhD experience in the synthesis of novel anodes and cathodes, including alloy/conversion/insertion-type anodes and layered oxide/polyanion/high-entropy cathodes, as well as carbon-based porous electrodes for sodium-ion and lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors from Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Veerasubramani has received several prestigious fellowships, including the esteemed fellowship from the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Korea, and has been honored with multiple awards, such as the Presidential Award for his outstanding PhD thesis from Jeju National University. He has published over 45 international papers, with a notable H-index of 30, reflecting his significant contributions to advancing the field of energy storage and electrochemical systems.
